AGE OF EXPLORATION

The age of exploration was a period between the 15th and 17th in which many European explorers set out on ships and went on quests for finding new countries and or continents, while also opening up new trade routes. This was also the time period in which Christopher Columbus found America. This period was also started because they wanted capitalism to flourish.Francisco Pizarro conquered the Inca Empire and founded the city of Lima, the capital of Peru. Francisco Pizarro shows the importance of the Age of Exploration because of how he explored and observed South America. Pizarro conquered land and improved the economy of Spain. Pizarros expedition has a lasting effect because it helped bring Spanish language and culture to South America. His Quest for riches and fame help show the ideals of individualism and observation.
